The part KI doesn’t sell anymore.

If you have a stack of Matrix KI chairs with broken plastic connectors under the seats — the small clips that hold them together when stacked or ganged in a row — this is the replacement.

KI discontinued this part. There is no OEM replacement. We reverse-engineered the geometry from a real chair, ran multiple test prints, and now manufacture them on demand in the USA from durable engineering-grade plastic that outlasts the originals.

What you get

  • 2 replacement connectors in one pack
  • Designed to match the OEM dimensions exactly — uses the existing screw holes, no modifications to the chair
  • Printed in PETG for higher heat tolerance and impact resistance

Installing it

Two minutes per chair. You only need a screwdriver — flip the chair over, remove the three screws holding the broken connector, line up the new one, and reattach. Stack a few chairs to test.

For step-by-step photos and full context, read the install guide.

Does this fit my chair?

If your chair has all of these, yes:

  • Two-piece molded plastic shell with a welded wire frame
  • A small molded “Matrix KI” or “KI” branding mark on the shell
  • A patent number D246813 molded somewhere underneath

If you’re unsure, send us a photo of the underside of your chair and we’ll confirm before you order.
